Damage & Issue Fee Schedule

This schedule outlines charges for damages, excessive cleanup, or policy violations during events hosted at The Pendennis Weddings and Events. Fees are subject to change and may be adjusted depending on the extent of damages.

 

1. Facility & Property Damage

Wall, paint, or surface damage: $250 minimum, up to full repair/repaint cost

Flooring damage (scratches, gouges, burns, stains): $300–$1,500 depending on area affected

Broken furniture (chairs, tables, couches, bar stools): $250 per item, or replacement cost if higher

Broken mirrors, fixtures, or décor: $200–$750 depending on item

Bathroom fixture damage (toilets, sinks, dispensers): $500 per fixture

2. Bar & Catering

Broken glassware: $10 per glass

Broken dinnerware or serving equipment: $25 per item

Spilled alcohol requiring carpet/upholstery cleaning: $250 flat fee

Unauthorized outside alcohol: $500 fine per incident (plus removal of product)

3. Cleaning & Excessive Mess

Excessive trash, confetti, glitter, or décor left behind: $250–$500

Bodily fluids requiring biohazard cleanup: $400 per incident

Excessive spills requiring professional carpet/floor cleaning: $300–$600

4. Safety & Security

Fire alarm activation due to negligence: $1,000 plus any City of Edmonton fire response fees

Security incident requiring removal of guest(s): $250 per incident (charged to host)

Property theft (linens, décor, barware, electronics): Replacement value plus 25% administration fee

5. Venue Rules Violations

Smoking/vaping inside the building: $500 per incident

Damage to exterior property (graffiti, landscaping, signage): $500 minimum, up to actual repair costs

Unauthorized use of restricted areas (kitchen, offices, storage): $250 per incident

Over-capacity violation: $1,000 plus potential event shutdown

6. Administrative

Failure to vacate venue on time: $500 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments

Unreturned or damaged rented equipment (AV, lighting, linens): Replacement or repair cost + 20% handling
