Here’s what we’re looking for in our teammates: positive, hard-working, flexible, problem-solving, self-motivated, organized individuals with a LOVE of learning. We believe that everyone should be competent in each others job, understanding what each role requires, and be able to fill in as necessary. What that means is that we cross-train all of our staff on everything we can! Our bartenders can operate as security, set up staff, and coordinators. We are a small team who creates high quality experiences and we are looking only for those who are willing to meet our high standards to achieve success.
What do we offer? Flexibility, training across multiple skill-sets (you want to learn a new position, we’ll do our best to make that happen!), a fast-paced environment where you can grow your social, organizational, and hospitality skill set. The Founders
Elizabeth and Justin are honoured and excited to be in the historic Pendennis Building.
The dream is to host events, not just weddings, but also corporate and networking events, birthday parties, fashion shows, DJ parties, pop-up art galleries, cultural events, workshops, and more!
Elizabeth Mywaart, the CEO of The Pendennis Weddings and Events, began working in the wedding industry in 2011 and has worked as a makeup artist, photographer, videographer, and now venue manager. Her love of weddings and her passion for the details makes her excellent at helping couples create their dream wedding, and clients to produce the on-brand event they are proud of.
While the dream started with these two, it doesn’t just belong to them anymore. The Pendennis Team now has twenty staff and it’s growing!
These events couldn’t come alive without the event coordinators, administrators, bartenders, event staff, and security team that make each event fun, safe, and very beautiful.

Investing Back Into Our Community
We are so lucky to be able to sponsor charities, non-profits, and small businesses. It is a central value of ours to be generous.
How does it work?
Yearly we have a donation budget and it looks like this:
We set aside an amount of money combined with discounts that we are able to use to give back.
Our parameters for who we give back to change every year so we can support a variety of groups in different sectors and with different needs.
For something, this means a discount of up to 50% on a rental booking as well as free rentals and discounted services.
For others, this means we donate back a portion of bar profits to their organization.
The formula is changed based on the needs of the company and our own ability to be flexible.
We love that we are able to give back to our community.
